Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm nursing a cold this week. I hope to be feeling better by Turkey Day. It is my favorite holdiay of the year after all.
I'm also getting ready for a small women only art/craft show in St. Augustine on December 6th. Click on the link for more info and if you're in the area stop by and say Hello.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

~Fly Away Home~
My little beauty is done! This took me a week to finish. I get so little time to create these days that it's hard to finish anything in one day. I love, love, love this necklace!I used some of my favorite stone, green kyanite. I paired this with copper freshwater pearls, gorgeous teal picasso beads, turquoise and my favorite shibuichi clasp from Green Girl Studios. I cut, hammered, stamped and oxidized the "Fly" pendant myself. It was my first time using a jeweler's saw and man was it FUN! I can't wait to do more...

A Hiatus
I'll be on a brief hiatus for the next few weeks. Not only am I very busy with home and family, but I've also been dealing with some issues regarding my creative endeavors.
For the last few months my thoughts have been permeated with the fact that my jewelry doesn't sell and others' do. When my work isn't selling I find it hard to justify making new things. I feel that I need to step away from the internet/computer, stop clouding my brain with other people's work and find out what I really want to achieve in the jewelry world. I know that I want to be successful, I know that I want my designs to be recognizable and I know that I want to continue making the best quality, original pieces that I can. How to achieve that? Not quite sure just yet. That's where the hiatus comes in. I need to take time to figure out which path is best for me. So, that's where I'll be for now. Doing lots of thinking, sneaking in jewelry time when I can and looking forward to a better tomorrow...
I may sneak a post or pic in from time to time. Until then I hope you all will be here when I get back. ^_^
Be blessed!
