Wildlife Abounds

Over the past couple of weeks some of my fellow blogger friends have been sharing gorgeous photos of their spring gardens and flowers. I was not blessed with a green thumb, unfortunately. So, since I don't have plants to share there is something I do have. Wildlife! At our previous home and our current home we seem to be blessed with an abundance of birds and other creatures. I spotted this Red-Tailed Hawk on our back fence yesterday. I grabbed the camera and snapped a few pics of him. Here in Florida we have a plethora of little lizards called Anoles. That was his chosen meal yesterday. I guess our fence was a good vantage point for seeking out his lunch. Have a great day!

Wow, what a fantastic picture - just look at him. I don't have visitors like that!
Thank you for your kind compliment!

We have hawks here too, but I've never had one visit our yard. How cool!

I had one in the tree outside my bedroom window yesterday- my dog was watching him quite intently as little puffs of something fluffy wafted down from the treetop! He moved to higher branches out of sight before I could grab the camera unfortunately! Great picture :)

Awesome to see this in your yard! We live near an open field and we have had this guy visit us on occasion, and sometimes I think he might want to scoop our mini doxie up....they are very powerful birds, and amazing to look at!!

Cool photo, Cristi! I am currently running around to all my hanging baskets trying to keep the little red house finches from building nests in them!

Oh my goodness! Do you know how thrilled my husband would be to see something like that in our backyard? Great shot.
