I'm taking a break...

I'm taking a break from beading and blogging! I'm not into POLITICS and to be quite honest that's where some things are headed. I'm one of those people that if the road gets too rough or if you can't find the fun in it, I want off. There are much bigger and better things in life than beads and selling jewelry. I've got great kids, a great husband and a great life! That's where I am today. I don't want to blog right now. I don't want to live in angst that everything I make is being critiqued by this person or that person and I certainly don't want to be lead to believe by others actions that I need to be sensoring myself or my work anymore than I already do.

I wish everyone the best of luck in all your endeavors! I appeciate everyone's support and sweet comments over the past year. Be back later...

Oh no! Please don't leave! I love your work! Like you, I don't want the politics, I just want to make beautiful jewelry and meet new people. Surely we can do that. We can band together and stay positive!

Cristi,

Don't allow negative opinions to block your progress as an artist. If you truly love creating jewelry, please continue.

We all need a break from time to time, which is understandable. Hopefully, this is temporary and you'll be back fresh and eager to go!

Thank you Kristin! I really appreciate your comment :-)

Sharon - I'm taking your advice. A break is in order, without a doubt.

I hear ya, but instead of letting a few get to you, take a little break to pour yourself into your beautiful creations. Don't give up on your dreams.

Mucho love,

Carmen

If you need some distance - get it. But don't give up on something, if it is important to you, because of others. If you love to bead, don't let anyone stop you.
Sending hugs!!

if that little voice is telling you that a break is in order, then you've got to listen and take that much needed break! but, while you're away, i'll sure be thinking of you and sending great thoughts and prayers your way! enjoy your "down time" and be nurtured! hugs, :)

Cristi, I am working all day, still working at my REAL job now, and I haven't been able to blog all day. Do what your heart tells you, you know what is right, but I will miss you terribly and I certainly hope you will be back!

Cristi - sometimes breaks are good - maybe just a "public" break instead of a "creativity" break? Keep working!

hang in there cristi and do what you feel is best for you. i agree with suebeads...maybe just a "public" break and then you can continue your creativity in private at your own pace however you want to! sending hugs your way!

Cristi: I hope you don't stay away too long! Breaks are good though. They clear the mind. I am on a much needed break right now too. I just blog about vacations and my garden and mindless ramblings. I find it refreshing. When and if I get good and ready to go back to my beads I will or not! Hang in there. I'll miss you!
