This weekend we had the Jane's Bead & Fiber Show in town. Well you know me, I never miss a bead show. I went not expecting anything new because this same show was just in town a few months ago. So I go on Saturday, walk in the door, take a quick look around, then lo and behold the first table I saw was Green Girl Studios. Man, was I ever excited! I've admired the Thornton family's work for quite a while. Cynthia does the carving and designs, Greg Ogden, her husband, does the casting of the pewter charms, buttons and clasps that the company offers. Then there's the talented brother Andrew who designs some of my favorite jewelry pieces. I walked up to the table to peruse the goodies. It was eye-candy. I introduced myself to Greg, who was manning the table, and told him how much I admired their work. He was super, super nice! I treated myself to quite a few of their pieces. Greg told me to pick out 2 free pieces after my purchase. Hmmm, decisions, decisions, lol. So I picked out 2 more pendants, said how nice it was to meet him and headed home to ogle my new purchase. In addition to the pieces that I got, I also bought the beautiful little bracelet pictured above. Cynthia designed this piece and I just love it. Green Girl Studios is a wonderful business run by a talented family. Check out their website and show them some love!
